Goodbye Utah, Hello World

In two days time I will drive off into the sunset, literally--bags packed, windows down, Frame and Canvas blasting on the radio, mom in the passengers seat, mini-fridge in the trunk. Destination: Montana, somewhere closer to the Canadian border than a Walmart. I will spend my summer working as a paid reporter/photography intern at the Philips County News and hopefully stay warm. I am very excited to head out and do something completely on my own, but a little nervous too. Ultimately it will be good for my career and good for my soul. I hope that fresh mountain air, melting glaciers, small town gossip and long hours spent writing are just the cure for my broken heart. Also, I hope to run into folk singers, the Pines. Or stars from Degrassi!
